Production Notes - Scene 2 - Powerful Memories

This scene establishes that Lance has since returned to a civilian life, and is now married to Stephanie. The notion of a Private (Lance/Corporal was not an official rank, only a title) leaving service in 1942 is probably a bit of a stretch, but it had to be done for the story I wanted to tell. ;) I also intentionally introduced Bruno, their dog, so that it could be used in a later scene.

Sound editing you may not have noticed:

• The music begins, very quietly, as we see Lance looking at his war journal. It slowly builds until the crescendo at the end, timed to coincide with Lance declaring he "would go back - in a heartbeat".
• All sound effects were individually adjusted for volume, including footsteps, the door opening and closing, and Lance sitting down.
